The vast gas resources of Qatar, combined with the country's ambition to diversify its economy and expand its investment and business activities is one of the driving forces for us in QIEC to set our activity as an industry.

Our mission is to be an integral part of Qatar's booming economy and to have an effective role in developing and promoting the country.

Given this, we plan to transform QIEC into a place where our customers can network, communicate with traders, do business and present products and technologies from all over the world.

Scheduled to open in late May 2007, the new premises will triple the size of our existing facilities. The expansion programme would see the total area of the indoor exhibition hall going up to over 45,000 sqm from the present 10,000 sqm. The new facility will become one of Doha landmarks, especially that the government has granted a large plot for the proposed structure.

The expansion plan includes constructing an indoor exhibition hall of about 40,000 sqm, an auditorium of 10,000 sqm and parking space for as many as 3,500 cars.
